| Method 1. Crush the slices of bread into very fine pieces. You may use vegetable chopper for convenience. Chop onions and chilies. 2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida and turmeric powder. Add onions and fry till soft. Add chilies and fry. Add bread pieces and salt. Keep tossing for sometime or until all the pieces are properly coated with the oil. 3. Cover the pan. Let cook for 5 minutes. Remove the lid and mix. Serve topped with coriander leaves. Tip: For variation, add curry leaves, chopped tomatoes, green peas or potatoes. |
